If you are strapped for cash, tired of all the supposed effective acne treatments around, or simply want to try alternative acne solutions then keep reading! Below is a list of some of the most effective yet affordable acne treatments you can find right in your own home.

Toothpaste: Toothpaste is normally used to clean your teeth but did you know that you could also use it to get rid of acne? Simply apply a thin film of toothpaste on each pimple and leave it on overnight. Wash it off once you wake up the following day with a gentle cleanser then follow with an oil-free moisturizer. Continue this nightly until your acne disappears. Make sure you don’t have an adverse reaction by testing one pimple out first to confirm you don’t have an irritation develop. Also make sure you use a non-whitening toothpaste.

Orange Peels: Combine organic orange peels with clean water and apply to your face as a face mask. To make, grind the orange peels and add a little clean water to create a paste then apply this paste on the affected areas of your skin. It will leave your skin glowing after gently exfoliating dead skin cells away!

Egg Whites: Egg whites have been quite effective for those who want to fight acne and have clear, fresh-looking skin. Apply it on your pimples and leave it there for 20 minutes then rinse off with warm water.

Aloe Vera: Pure Aloe Vera gel is a proven solution for sun burnt skin. Aloe Vera is also a perfect solution against acne. Apply the gel on your acne and the gel will help curb the inflammation of your pimples and prevent other pimples from developing due to its antibacterial properties. Less scarring will form as well.

Tea Tree Oil: Tea tree oil is an effective antibacterial agent that you can apply on your skin. This oil kills off any unwanted bacteria, thereby preventing the development of acne.

Salt and Vinegar: These common condiments can be used to fight acne when combined. Just mix salt and vinegar together then gently scrub it on the affected parts of your skin. Leave the scrub on your skin for 20 minutes then rinse it off with warm water. This exfoliation treatment will gently remove oil, acne-causing bacteria, and dead skin cells from your clogged pores.

Salt: If you don’t like the smell of vinegar on your skin, you could also mix salt with warm water. Use it as an exfoliation treatment on your face 2-3 times a week. Salt water is perfect for removing excess oils on your skin that could also cause acne breakouts.

There are a lot of acne solutions you can find at home. These solutions are readily available so you can save a lot of money instead of buying expensive acne treatments. No more rushing to the pharmacy when an acne breakout happens!
