Just having an acne outbreak can cause your stress level to flare up. Having acne is an upsetting experience. But when you allow yourself to get stressed, you’re entering a vicious cycle. If you really want to get rid of acne, you have to get your stress level down.

A major contributor to acne flare-ups is stress. The more high-strung you feel, the more prone you are to seeing more acne appear on your face. Remember, outbreaks are determined primarily by your hormones. When your body goes through changes brought upon by stress or lack of sleep, your skin will respond accordingly.

In order to get rid of acne, you’ll have to take steps to unwind. Basically, the best thing you can do for your skin is relax. Here are a few things you can try doing to improve the health of your skin:

-          Get more sleep. 7-8 hours of sleep per night is the recommended amount for a reason. Your body needs the rest. Putting too much strain on yourself will make your stress level skyrocket.

-          Meditating is a good way to relax. Take some time everyday to just sit in silence and forget about your problems.

-          Exercise more. A good cardio workout routine will get your blood flowing. Improved blood flow will have you feeling better. You’ll notice a difference in your complexion.
