Foods To Benefit Your Skin

There are many “superfoods” that can help your skin look and feel it’s best and also fight your acne! Many think they need to find the best skincare treatment to eliminate their acne and don’t get us wrong, that is important. But so is your health and having a healthy diet with foods loaded with antioxidants and nutrients is also a huge part of the puzzle. Read on:

1. Fruits and vegetables: Fruits and veggies are loaded with wonderful antioxidants and vitamins that attack acne from the inside out. Bananas, strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries are just a few of the superfoods out there.

2. Don’t be afraid to use fruit in your skincare! Ground-up apples are awesome mixed with yogurt and raw oatmeal to gently exfoliate your skin! The inside peel of a banana can be gently massaged on your clean, damp skin to exfoliate dead skin cells and minimizes inflamed skin and acne.

3. Foods rich in Omega-3 Fatty Acids. Ingesting Omega-3 daily is great for the body and is so easily found in foods you can easily get. Walnuts, avocado, and salmon are just a few of the delicious foods with Omega-3 in them. You can also take a daily Omega-3 supplement and receive the same benefits.

4. Flaxseed oil is amazing for a multitude of reasons and is high in Omega-3 fatty acids. Pour a couple table spoons into a daily fruit and/or veggie smoothie and your skin and body will thank you.
