Acne is very common problem for most people on this planet at some point in their lives. It can affect any person at any age. Homemade acne remedies are a useful and inexpensive treatment for this pesky skin condition.

There are many reasons for why acne occurs. It can be a hormonal imbalance in the body.  It may be caused by toxins that enter the bloodstream and can affect the skin dramatically. An unhealthy diet which includes processed foods high in fat and sugar can also worsen acne.

To treat your acne, you have more options than you are aware of. There are over-the-counter prescriptions you can use, you can schedule an appointment with your dermatologist, and there are also homemade remedies you can utilize that are fairly easy to find and use.

Don’t pop and pick at your pimples – Never pop and pick your pimples. Otherwise you are more prone to infection, spreading acne to other areas of your skin, and causing severe scarring that may never heal.

Exercise – Working out is a great treatment for clearing acne. It helps to relieve stress (which causes acne!) and allows your blood to circulate better, allowing your pores to open, and retrieve more oxygen. Toxins are sweat out of your body, releasing them more quickly than if you weren’t working out. If toxins sit in your body too long, it can cause your skin to form acne.

Diet – Diet and acne are related. If you don’t have a healthy diet then you won’t have healthy skin. You may temporarily but it will come back to hurt you in the long run. Acne occurs from the sebaceous glands secreting too much oil which gets clogged in your pores with acne-causing bacteria and dead skin cells. You must follow a nutritious and healthy diet which includes lots of organic fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grain. Also drink at least 8 glasses of clean water a day to keep your skin and body hydrated.

Acne treatments with products found at home – There are some products that are easily available at home for acne treatment. These products are inexpensive and very effective for acne treatment.

Organic Raw Honey – This is a very sweet and effective acne treatment. Apply honey on your clean face as a face mask up to 3 times a week. Leave it on skin for 30 minutes then rinse off with warm water. Honey is antibacterial and antimicrobial and will kill acne gently and effortlessly.

Papaya – This fruit is great for the skin. It contains Papain which gently exfoliates dead skin cells off the face, allowing fresh rejuvenated skin to surface.

Tea Tree Oil – This is a very effective treatment that decreases oil on the skin and kills acne-causing bacteria. It also minimizes the appearance of large pores.

Try some of these products and tips and we know you won’t be disappointed! Good luck!
