Since you’re reading this, chances are you are looking for options available to you when it comes to acne treatment. Luckily, you have come to the right place. Many people give up after trying a few treatments and just suffer with acne for a long time. The truth is though, that not every treatment is going to work for every person – There are several things you can try but one will eventually work for you. Read on to learn of various options in dealing with your acne:

Use homemade acne treatments: Believe it or not, there are tons of ingredients in your own home that you can use to treat acne. Some of these things include egg whites, egg yolks, oatmeal, cucumbers, sugar, honey, and even toothpaste! The best things about these products are that they are cheap and easily available.

Over-the-counter treatments: Using over-the-counter topical medication is by far the most convenient way to deal with acne. Topical creams that include salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide are effective in dealing with acne by drying out and killing the pimples over a short period of time. They can dry out your skin though, so it’s important to use an oil-free moisturizer before applying this medication – though you should be using a moisturizer already, morning and night after cleansing!

Make an appointment with a dermatologist:  Another obvious option you have is visiting your dermatologist. A dermatologist is a medical professional who specializes in dealing with skin conditions such as acne. Why visit a dermatologist? He or she can provide you with valuable feedback on the type of acne you have and the appropriate treatment for you that cannot be purchased over the counter and needs a prescription.

So when it comes to acne treatment keep in mind that there are several options available for you. Don’t give up and know that this acne too shall pass. You are beautiful – with or without acne.
