When you are trying new acne treatments, you can become a bit anxious wondering if they will finally work for you. It’s common since it seems one has to try several different types of treatments until he or she finds one that actually works. We all have different types of skin and different types of skin issues so what may work for one person won’t necessarily work for another.
You are also risking more when you buy brand-name acne treatments. Why? For one, you are spending a considerable amount of money. Secondly, most of these treatments use strong chemicals which could be harmful to your skin.
With that in mind, there are some home acne treatments you can try. They are relatively mild and safe, so as long as you are not allergic to the ingredients, they should be safe on your skin.
1. Egg whites – Eggs are one of the most common things found in most people’s refrigerators. Simply apply egg whites on your skin, let it set for 15-20 minutes then rinse it off with warm water. Egg whites fight acne while calming down inflamed and irritated skin.
2. Fresh garlic – Your acne hates garlic as much as vampires do. You may hate the way it smells but there’s no denying the antiseptic powers of fresh garlic when you apply it to your acne.
3. Organic Sugar. Combine a tablespoon of organic brown sugar and two tablespoons of organic cane sugar with warm water to effectively slough away dead skin cells that trap oil and bacteria in the pores to cause acne. Simply massage the scrub on your damp skin with your fingertips in a circular motion for 2 minutes then rinse off with warm water and apply an oil-free moisturizer. Your skin will feel fresh and rejuvenated.
There you have it, some inexpensive yet effective home acne treatments you can try. As you can see, dealing with your acne doesn’t have to be super expensive to be effective.
