How to Treat Acne with Water

Water is one of the purest elements on Earth. It has proven itself to be effective when cleansing our bodies as well as hydrating our bodies from the inside out. It’s not surprising that water can also be an effective solution for treating acne.

Water gets rid of the stuff on your skin that could cause acne

If you live in a heavily polluted area where there is constant dust and silt floating around in the air, then your chances of having acne is greatly increased. If your skin is also producing excessive amounts of sebum (oil), then you will more than likely have an acne problem. You can lessen your chances of having acne if you follow a strict skincare regimen. It doesn’t have to be expensive or complicated – Simply cleanse and moisturize twice a day, morning and night and exfoliate your skin at least 3 times a week to remove dead skin cells that clog pores.

Water hydrates your body from the inside out

Feeling thirsty? If you feel that way most of the time, chances are that you’re not drinking enough water. Ideally, you should be drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day. If you tend to sweat a lot or if you live a particularly active lifestyle, then you will need to drink even more than that. Your body and skin need water. Not just to look good but to feel good – Our bodies cannot survive without water. When you do not drink enough water, you starve your skin of this vital element. If you don’t drink enough water, your skin becomes dehydrated, which makes it unable to shed off dead skin cells efficiently. These skin cells, if not hydrated well, will accumulate on your pores and eventually cause acne. It’s so important to drink lots of water daily to stay hydrated.

If you’re looking for a healthy way to get rid of acne then you cannot get any healthier than making water your friend. Don’t take it for granted and make sure you minimize your intake of sugary drinks and replace them with water. For more nourishment, add slices of organic lemons to your water and your skin tone will even out, you will be less oily, and your acne will diminish dramatically. Clean water equals healthy and clean skin and body.
