Ingredients:
1 Lemon
6 Aspirin
2 Tablespoons Pure Honey
Baking soda
Rolling pin or coffee cup (for crushing the aspirin pills)
Prep:
Crush the aspirin pills with a rolling pin or with the bottom of the coffee mug on a hard surface. If using a coffee mug, be careful not to break the mug by using too much force. Put the crushed aspirin in a mixing bowl and squeeze in about 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice. The aspirin will dissolve within the lemon juice. Mix together until smooth. Add in the honey and apply to your face. Leave on until dry which is about 20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and baking soda on a washcloth. Follow with oil-free moisturizer.
Benefits:
It is important to use only aspirin and not substitute with something like ibuprofen. The power of aspirin is that it contains salicylic acid which is incredibly beneficial for skin. It is known to minimize acne and cellular build-up so fresh, renewed skin can surface. The lemon juice is a citric acid and is packed with antibacterial properties to fight acne and even out skin tone, while leaving a beautiful glow to your skin. It will also help if you have oily skin. Honey will soothe your skin and fights acne-causing infections all in one without clogging your pores! The baking soda is gently on your skin and helps remove this mask while leaving your skin feeling oh so soft.
Hi
How often need I apply the face mask to see results?
Hey!
You can use this mask every other night.
Hi, I do not have acne problem, but I wish to have a fresh skin. Can I apply this mask? Does it have any side effects?
I have stubborn acne which I have several medication like taking antibiotics and using some cream like skineal and funbact-A. Buts its not helping matters. What can I do please
Do you put the baking soda in with the warm water?
Dude. I’ve just had a really early morning to prepare for an exam tomorrow, and I had a bath to wake me up and warm me up (my house is freezing!!) I just did this and my skin feels so refreshed, smooth and soft!
The asprin didn’t dissolve for me, and the mask was very runny so I couldn’t really use it as a mask, but I took advantage of this and used it as a scrub, the crushed asprin exfoliated and I still left it on for about 15 minutes.
How to get me irritated in 5 seconds…put someting sticky on my face and then it runs everywhere! Hehe! At first I was so irritated with this mask cause it is a bit runny, but at the end it made my skin feel great. After I washed it off my skin was a bit sensitive but that could be contributed to the fact that I have a sensitive skin and scrubbed my face before application of the mask. But that was all sorted out with a good night cream. I will really try it again but then I would just somehow make it a bit thicker so that it doesn’t run in my hair and down my neck. Overall I think its a good mask cause my skin feels awesome.
