Ingredients:
½ Ripe Organic Avocado
¼ Cup Raw Organic Honey
Prep:
Wrap the other half of the unused avocado and refrigerate for an awesome guacamole dip you can make later today or use it in another face mask later on in the week. Mash the other half of the avocado in a bowl until creamy with minimal to no lumps – A smooth consistency is needed. Pour in the honey and blend it until it’s creamy and smooth. Apply the face mask to your freshly cleansed skin and neck and leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and gently pat your skin dry with a soft hand towel. Apply an oil-free moisturizer to your face and neck to retain needed moisture in the skin.
Benefits:
Avocado is beneficial to your skin in addition to your overall health. Avocados heal dryness on the skin, reduces age spots, minimizes fine lines and wrinkles, and can even soothe skin affected by eczema. Large quantities of the protein, sterolin, are found in avocado and this is what treats so many skin issues just listed. Sterolin is found in mass quantities in the oil of the avocado which is why avocado oil is added to so many skincare products.
Avocado oil increases collagen in the skin which is ideal for anyone who is aging and seeing the elasticity of their skin depleting. Avocado oil helps to slow down the process of collagen loss, thus allowing you to look younger longer! Bonus: Avocados do not clog your pores! Avocados are also wonderful to eat and will heal your body from the inside out. Whatever you take into your body will exude through your skin so eating an avocado a day will make your skin beautiful and smooth. Avocados are packed with nutrients including Vitamins B, C, and E all of which are proven to be beneficial for your skin. These vitamins fight acne, improve the appearance of your skin, and can heal scarring more quickly and efficiently.
Honey is wonderful in so many ways. Not only is it delicious but it is amazing for your skin. Honey contains numerous anti-microbial properties and is a natural antioxidant. Honey fights microbial infections that cause acne without irritating your skin. It is also naturally antibacterial so it will fight acne-causing bacteria effectively. This sweet goodness gently pulls out impurities from your pores that would normally stay clogged, removing festering bacteria and oil that cause pimples. Honey will also help restore your skin’s texture, minimize inflammation and redness, and will reduce damage done to your skin by the sun and daily environments you may come in contact with.
I’m a 46yrs woman with not much skin problems, even in my youth days I never had acne. Now since last year after my birthday I’m experiencing black circles below my eyes and some black spot on my face. Will this Avo and Honey mask help?
I just tried an avocado mask by itself and did not know about mixing it with honey. I have used the mask one time and noticed amazing results with just one use. So it may work for you. I will try honey for next week
