Ingredients:

½ Medium-Size Banana

1 Tablespoon Organic Plain Yogurt

1 Tablespoon Cream

1 Teaspoon Pure Honey

Prep:

Peel and mash the banana in a mixing bowl and mix in the other ingredients until blended well together. Warm the honey for a few seconds in the microwave if you are having difficulty stirring it in. Apply the face mask to your clean face and neck and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and a gentle cleanser then pat dry with a soft hand towel. Follow with an oil-free moisturizer for added hydration.

Benefits:

Banana applied topically to your skin is just a wonderful remedy for soothing dry, inflamed, and/or irritated skin. Bananas aid in fighting acne and can be used by the most sensitive of skin types as long as you are not allergic to them. They are rich in potassium, which when applied directly to the skin, will suffocate the bacteria in cells, forcing blemishes to heal more quickly. Bananas have many anti-bacterial properties which can reduce swelling and infections from other skin issues, including Psoriasis, Eczema, and even painful bug bites. You can even rub the peel of the banana on your skin for these types of skin conditions and it will help soothe your skin tremendously.

Yogurt is great for the skin because it will leave your skin glowing due to the low amount of acidity in it, which will restore your natural pH balance. It is also great for adding hydration to the skin and is ideal for soothing sunburns or irritated skin. The yogurt will also help to gently exfoliate your skin due to the enzymes and lactic acid it contains.

Honey fights microbial infections that cause acne without irritating your skin. This sweet goodness pulls out impurities from your pores that would normally stay clogged, festering bacteria that causes pimples.  Honey will also help restore your skin’s texture and reduce damage done to your skin by the sun and daily environments you come in contact with.

The cream will hydrate your skin, especially if you suffer from dry skin or if it’s inflamed due to acne. It is soothing and gentle for the skin.
