Ingredients:

½ Medium-Size Banana

2 Teaspoons Raw Rolled Oats

2 Teaspoons Pure Honey

Prep:

Peel and mash the ½ banana and stir in the honey and rolled oats. To make the honey easier to stir, feel free to warm the honey in the microwave for a few seconds. Make sure it’s not hot when being applied to your face! Once all the ingredients are blended well together in a semi-smooth paste, apply to your clean face and neck and let it sit on your skin for 20 minutes. Then rinse off with warm water and a gentle cleanser and gently pat dry with a soft hand towel. Apply an oil-free moisturizer to your face and neck. And don’t forget eye cream too!

Benefits:

Bananas are great to help in fighting acne and are not known to irritate the skin so even those of you with the most sensitive skin should be able to use this mask without side effects. Bananas are rich in potassium, which when applied directly to the skin, will suffocate the bacteria in cells, forcing blemishes to heal more quickly. Bananas have many anti-bacterial properties which can reduce swelling and infections from other skin issues, including Psoriasis, Eczema, and even painful bug bites. You can even rub the peel of the banana on your skin for these types of skin conditions and it will help soothe your skin tremendously. The inside of the banana peel is also wonderful to use to exfoliate your dead skin cells away.

Raw rolled oats are gentle on the skin and work beautifully to remove dead skin cells (cellular buildup) off your face and neck. Exfoliating dead skin cells away allows new, fresh skin to surface and removes bacteria and oil to be removed from your clogged pores.

Honey is a wonderful antioxidant proven to help reduce impurities from the skin and help battle mild acne. It also helps restore skin’s texture due to its anti-microbial properties, and will help repair skin damage from the sun and daily environments.
