Coffee and Cocoa Facial Mask

Coffee & Cocoa Face Mask

Ingredients:

4 Tablespoons finely ground coffee beans

4 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

8 Tablespoons milk (can substitute organic plain yogurt, almond milk, or coconut milk)

2 Tablespoons pure honey (for dry skin) or lemon juice (for oily skin)

Prep:

Mix the coffee and cocoa powder in a mixing bowl and stir in the dairy. A paste will form once blended well together then stir in the honey or lemon juice. Apply the mask to your face and neck and let it sit for 25 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and gentle cleanser. Wash off gently so the coffee grounds don’t scratch your skin. Follow with an oil-free moisturizer.

Coffee and cocoa combined are the perfect pair to help your skin. This mask will brighten your complexion and minimize puffiness on your face and around the eyes. Dairy works amazingly well to balance the natural pH of your skin, adding beautiful moisture to your skin.

Honey is loaded with anti-microbial properties and is a natural antioxidant. Honey fights microbial infections that cause acne without irritating your skin. Honey also pulls out impurities from your pores that would normally stay clogged, festering bacteria that causes pimples.  It will also help restore your skin’s texture and reduce damage done to your skin by the sun and daily environments you come in contact with.

A few drops of juice from an orange or lemon will help with minimizing oils and also refresh your skin!
