Ingredients:

½ Cup of Raw Organic Honey

1 Small Bowl

Prep:

Warm the honey for about 20 seconds in a microwave-safe bowl. Make sure it’s not too hot, just slightly warm, because if it’s hot it will burn your skin. Apply the honey to your freshly cleansed and gently dried face and neck. Wear a bath towel or drape a towel around your neck and collar because the honey can drip and make a bit of a mess. Leave the honey face mask on for 20-30 minutes then jump in the shower to rinse it off quickly and effectively. Use a little gentle face cleanser as well to remove the honey if your skin still feels sticky. Once you have stepped out of the shower and dried off, apply an oil-free moisturizer to your face and neck to retain moisture and balance the pH levels of your skin.

Benefits:

Honey is wonderful in so many ways. Not only is it delicious on its own or in different drinks and foods, it is also amazing for your skin. Honey contains numerous antimicrobial properties and is a natural antioxidant. Honey fights microbial infections that cause acne without irritating your skin. One might think honey can clog pores due to its sticky texture, but the opposite is true. It gently pulls out impurities from the pores that would normally stay clogged with excess oil and acne-causing bacteria that fester and cause pimples.

Honey will soothe inflamed and red blotchy skin so it’s a great mask to use in the morning before jumping in the shower.  Honey will also help restore your skin’s texture and reduce damage done to your skin by the sun and daily environments you come in contact with. Enjoy this honey mask 2 to 3 times a week after cleansing your face. Remember to cleanse your face twice daily with a gentle cleanser and follow with an oil-free moisturizer to keep your skin supple and hydrated properly. Add a teaspoon of honey to a daily cup of white or green tea and both the tea and the honey will heal your body from the inside out. Your skin will look younger, healthier, clearer, and have a beautiful glow.
