Porridge Face Mask

Ingredients:

1 Cup Porridge Oats

2 Tablespoons Pure Honey

1 Tablespoon of Rose Water

Prep:

Combine all the ingredients into a mixing bowl. Warm the honey for a few seconds to make it easier to blend into the rose water and porridge. Once mixed well together, apply the paste to your clean face and neck and leave on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and a gentle cleanser then pat your face and neck dry with a soft hand towel. Apply an oil-free moisturizer to retain moisture in your skin.

Benefits:

The oats will soften your skin and works as a wonderful exfoliator to remove dead skin cells, acne-causing bacteria, and oil. They contain saponins that gently remove debris from your pores without clogging your pores and will leave your skin glowing long after you remove the mask!

Honey is a wonderful antioxidant proven to help reduce impurities from the skin and help battle mild acne. It also helps restore skin’s texture due to its anti-microbial properties, and will help repair skin damage from the sun and daily environments.

Rose water soothes and calms inflamed and irritated skin and works wonders on dry winter skin. It has astringent-like properties that will open up your pores to de-clog them. This mask is best to do at night before bed since rose water is a mood enhancer, calming you down and relaxing you before it’s time to go to sleep. Ahhh…sweet dreams.
