rosewater and almonds

Ingredients:

2 Tablespoon Rose Water

1 Tablespoon Finely Ground Plain Almonds

Prep:

If you don’t know where to purchase finely ground almonds, you can ground up your own in a food processor. Take the rose water and combine with the almond powder until you have a blended paste. Apply the scrub to your clean and freshly damp face and neck and gently massage into your skin in a circular motion with your fingertips for two minutes. When done, rinse off with warm water and gently pat dry with a hand towel. Apply an oil-free moisturizer or a drop of extra virgin olive oil to maintain hydrated skin.

Benefits:

The almond powder works incredibly well to gently exfoliate your skin without irritating it or cutting it up. It will remove all cellular build up that consists of dead, dry, flaky skin. Cellular build up can clog your pores with oil and acne-causing bacteria so it’s important to exfoliate this dead skin off on a regular basis. It’s recommended to exfoliate your skin 2 to 3 times a week.

Rose water soothes and calms inflamed and irritated skin. It has astringent-like properties that will open up your pores to de-clog them. This mask is best to do at night before bed because rose water is a mood enhancer, calming you down and relaxing you before it’s time to go to sleep.

Applying extra virgin olive oil (just a drop) as your moisturizer will hydrate your skin like no other. Your skin will feel soft and beautiful. Don’t be afraid of olive oil clogging your pores or making you more oily. It will not do so. Enjoy this little piece of olive oil Heaven every night…
