Strawberry Yogurt Mask

Ingredients:

1/4 Cup Fresh Strawberries (not frozen!)

¼ Cup Plain Yogurt or Sour Cream

Prep:

Mash the strawberries with a fork and blend in yogurt or sour cream until blended well. Apply mask all over your face and neck and keep on for 20 minutes. Use a gentle cleanser and warm water to wash the paste off your face. Pat your face dry with a hand towel and apply an oil-free moisturizer.

Benefits:

Strawberries are loaded with Vitamin C and which is beneficial in the production of collagen. Vitamin C assists in anti-aging and also reduces fine lines and wrinkles while minimizing blemishes and acne. Vitamin C is found in a key ingredient in many skin care products.

Salicylic acid is packed in strawberries as well and is known to minimize acne and cellular build-up so fresh, renewed skin can surface. Strawberries also contain many antioxidants that help fight free radicals that attack your skin, making you appear more youthful and giving you a beautiful glow to your skin. Strawberries also help lighten the skin so feel free to apply the mask under your eye area to lighten dark circles as well!

Omega-3 fatty acids are not only found in fish oils but strawberries too. It’s known that omega-3 helps reduce inflammation in the body and skin and can add moisture to skin that is dry and flaky (especially beneficial for those battling Psoriasis, Eczema, and Dermatitis). Omega-3 will also help you look younger longer.

The plain yogurt or sour cream will give your skin added moisture and leave your skin glowing. This is especially beneficial if your skin is irritated and dry from the winter air!
