Ingredients:

1 Peeled, Steamed Sweet potato, cut in pieces

1 Tablespoon Pure Honey

1 Tablespoon Milk

1 Teaspoon Ginger Powder

Prep:

Steam or boil the sweet potato for 20 or so minutes until it is soft and the skin can be pulled of easily from the flesh of the potato. Blend ½ of the sweet potato in a blender then pour in the remaining ingredients and blend all together until you have a smooth paste. Apply the mask to your cleansed face and neck and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and a gentle washcloth. Pat dry with a soft hand towel and apply an oil-free moisturizer. Preserve any remaining unused face mask in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Benefits:

Sweet potatoes are loaded with tons of nutrients like vitamins and antioxidants that are so nourishing for your skin. Beta carotene is in sweet potatoes and is an excellent source for anti-aging skin due to it protecting from free radicals which can damage and break down the skin. It will also give you a beautiful glow to your skin!

Milk will hydrate your skin by adding moisture that your skin may be lacking, especially during these winter months. Milk will soothe irritated or dry skin and is gentle on the most sensitive of skin types. Honey contains numerous anti-microbial properties and is a natural antioxidant. Honey fights microbial infections that cause acne without irritating your skin. This sweet goodness pulls out impurities from your pores that would normally stay clogged, festering bacteria that causes pimples.  Honey will also help restore your skin’s texture and reduce damage done to your skin by the sun and daily environments you come in contact with.

Ginger powder promotes blood circulation to improve which will open up your pores, allowing any oil or bacteria clogged in your pores to break loose. Your skin will feel so soft and smooth after this mask! Enjoy!

I tried this mask and I loved it. It makes skin looks fresh, bright and smooth. Mask helped reduce redness and minimized my acne scaring. It didn’t help to get rid of acne but definitely improved my skin. Thank you so much for such a great website
