Ingredients:
1 Medium Organic Ripe Tomato
3 Teaspoons Finely Granulated Cane Sugar
Prep:
On a cutting board, slice off the top of the tomato so it has a “flat top” surface. Place the sugar on a plate and dip the flat top of the tomato into the sugar. Make sure your face and neck are slightly damp and place the flat sugar-coated top of the tomato onto your face and work it in a gentle circular motion all over your face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Feel free to re-dip into the sugar until your entire face and neck are coated in sugar. Leave the sugar tomato goodness to sit on your skin for 10 minutes then rinse off with warm water. Gently pat dry with a hand towel and apply an oil-free moisturizer to your face and neck.
Benefits:
Tomatoes are packed with a nutrient called lycopene which helps with improving skin’s appearance and tone. Tomatoes contain many vitamins including Vitamins A and C. Vitamin A helps fight acne-causing bacteria and aids in the production of new skin cells, allowing fresh, new skin to surface. Vitamin A will also make you look younger by minimizing fine lines and wrinkles. Vitamin C helps to firm and tighten your skin by aiding in the production of collagen. This vitamin also repairs skin damaged by sun and acne, leaving your skin’s complexion smoother and well-healed.
The sugar works as a beautiful exfoliator for the skin. It will not tear at your skin like many harsh beads that are added to skincare care products. Sugar almost feels like it’s “melting” into your skin it’s so gentle. It will not clog your pores or make you break out. It will just remove dead skin cells to allow new, fresh skin to surface. You will be so happy with your glowing complexion.
