Goji Berry

Goji berries are described by many as the “magical fruit.” They derive from southeastern Europe and Asia but are becoming quite well-known and can be purchased in many parts of the world. They are tiny berries that carry quite a punch and are beneficial not only for your overall health, but for your skin as well. Read along to learn how Goji berries can benefit your skin in beautiful ways…

1. Goji berries contain a variety of over 18 amino acids and Vitamins B1, B2, B6, C, and E. They have more beta carotene than carrots and more Vitamin C than any other fruit.

2. They are loaded with antioxidants that do wonders for your skin and body, including zinc, calcium, iron, selenium, phosphorus, and germanium.

3. Due to the large amount of antioxidants found in this fruit, Goji berries are able to slow down the aging process of the skin, which is why they are added to many skincare products and anti-aging products to keep the skin looking younger longer.

4. Look for skincare products that use a cold-press system to extract the beneficial nutrients from this magical fruit and make sure they are organic and free of preservatives. If any heating has been done to the berries, avoid them because the majority of nutrients are destroyed when the fruit is heated.

5. The vitamins and minerals found within the fruit are amazing for protecting the skin from sun damage (specifically from UV rays), while being able to minimize damage done by the sun and other factors like stress and lack of sleep. Fine lines and wrinkles will be minimized over time with use of skincare products that contain Goji berries as well as from eating the berries.

6. Goji berries can restore hydration in dehydrated skin and can soothe dry and irritated skin. It can even calm irritation and dryness from those who suffer from eczema.

7. A moisturizer that contains Goji berries can rebuild the skin’s elasticity, rejuvenating and renewing skin cells, while leaving the skin glowing and radiant.

8. Since Goji berries have been eaten and used in skincare treatments for over 6,000 years, you can trust the effects that they have on the skin.

Goji berries are becoming more popular since people are hearing about all the wonderful things they can do for your skin and body. Goji berries can be added to homemade face masks, smoothies, or sprinkled on top of yogurt, ice cream, or cereal. They are delicious and will make your skin look smoother and healthier in a very short time.
