Juicing

If you are on the internet, watch television, read a health magazine or newspaper, or even have a conversation with someone interested in health, you have more than likely heard about juicing. What is juicing exactly? Is it taking a bunch of fruit and veggies and blending them in the blender then drinking it? Why not just eat your fruits and veggies – Isn’t it the same difference and less work? Organic or not organic? The questions can go on forever. We are here to help you get some of your answers clarified, once and for all.

Juicing is an easy way to get the nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants you need in one glass of delicious juice than trying to eat all the fruits and veggies you would need to eat to add up to one glass of juice! Using a juicing machine, different than a blender, literally extracts all the juice out of the produce and separates it from the pulp and skin which means you don’t get much fiber in the juice. It makes it easier for the body to digest without the stomach being overloaded with fiber. It is important to note that you still need to get your daily intake of fiber so don’t neglect this essential part of your diet.

Let’s be honest, most of us don’t get enough fruits and veggies in our diets which is a complete shame seeing as how our bodies NEED these healthy foods to stay strong and healthy. That is why juicing is so wonderful. It provides our bodies with all the necessary tools to have stronger immune systems and help assist our bodies in fighting off diseases including cancer and heart disease, helps remove toxins from our bodies, and aids in proper digestion. Not only will our bodies be internally healthier by juicing but the skin looks better too! Under eye circles are minimized due to the Vitamin K that is found in vegetables like kale, bruises heal faster, acne clears, and other skin conditions improve as well.

Organic produce is the only produce that anyone should be eating if it’s available. Organic means that chemicals and pesticides were not used in preserving the produce. When harsh chemicals and preservatives are used, it wards off bugs from destroying crops and also preserves the life of the food but it is not healthy for us to digest, though we have been assured that it’s safe. Fruits and vegetables that are not natural and organic are NOT safe to eat. Choose organic when you can – be mindful that it doesn’t last as long and usually will only be good for about a week and then goes bad. But it’s better for your health so go organic! Your body will stay healthier and keep you stronger – longer. Two documentaries we at Acne Skin Site highly recommend watching are ‘Hungry for Change’ and ‘Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead.’ Both talk about the importance of eating healthy and go into detail about eating clean and juicing. Don’t wait any longer, take charge of your health and you will see amazingly beautiful results in your overall health an skin!
