Ingredients:
6 organic bananas (freeze peeled bananas for a frothy texture)
1 whole fresh ripe peeled mango (frozen if not in season)
2 T unsweetened shredded coconut
2 T fresh coconut milk
32 oz. filtered water
Prep:
Blend all the ingredients together in a blender until a smooth and creamy consistency. Pour in your favorite glass and enjoy! This makes a lovely batch that can be enjoyed at once for breakfast or lunch! You may need to pour the smoothie in a few glasses if you don’t have one super large glass!
Benefits:
Mangos are packed with Vitamins B6, C, and E which are skin boosting and aid in helping to clear skin of acne, reduce scarring, and minimize fine lines and wrinkles. Vitamin B6 will give additional relief to those who suffer with eczema, psoriasis, dry skin, and dandruff. Vitamin B6 also helps improve the body’s blood circulation which opens up the pores, releasing oils and germs that normally clog pores and will aid in minimizing broken capillaries.
Bananas are a wonderful fruit for the body and you can eat them in mass quantities daily for amazing energy and digestion. Super ripe bananas are the best to eat – Lindsay Tosto, writer for Acne Skin Site, recommends eating ones that have brown spots all over the peels because the bananas are sweeter and the best for digestion when very ripe. Bananas are packed with potassium and Vitamin C. Vitamin C will heal your body from within, improving the texture and appearance of your skin. Your skin will look more youthful and the amazing vitamins and nutrients in bananas help reverse the signs of premature aging on the skin. If you suffer from dry skin, bananas will improve the pH balance of your skin, making skin more hydrated, thanks to the potassium found in this delicious fruit.
Coconuts are great for the body’s overall health as they are loaded with healthy fats the body requires and are naturally hydrating as well so your skin’s moisture levels and texture will improve greatly. We like using coconut milk instead of dairy milk because dairy is known to cause acne and other health issues as the body is not made to digest milk from an animal. Non-dairy milks like coconut milk, hemp milk, almond milk, etc. are amazing substitutes for a beautiful and creamy smoothie. If you don’t want to use coconut milk, you can use coconut water and it will improve your hydration levels dramatically thanks to the natural-occurring electrolytes found within. You can also use fresh coconut meat in your smoothie instead of shredded coconut – You will LOVE it! Make sure to use at least 32 oz. of filtered water to make the smoothie nice and liquefied while improving your daily intake of water – which the body greatly needs. Enjoy this smoothie – We certainly do!
Can this be taken more then once a day?
