Exfoliating

You constantly hear us at Acne Skin Site preaching about exfoliating your skin but many still do not! Those that do, great job and we bet your skin looks better! For those who have yet to join the bandwagon on exfoliating your skin, read further to learn the amazing benefits of gently exfoliating your skin a minimum of three times a week.

Soft and Smooth – Exfoliating your skin removes dead skin cells, also known as cellular buildup, that cause dry and irritated skin, replacing it with soft, new, rejuvenated skin that feels incredibly smooth and hydrated. Make sure to apply an oil-free moisturizer to the skin after exfoliating to keep it looking and feeling soft and supple.

Look Younger – You will look younger longer if you exfoliate your skin regularly. Exfoliating gently removed dead skin cells that over time, can form fine lines and wrinkles. Exfoliating removes the top layers of skin so new skin can appear, helping you look younger and youthful for many more years!

Smoother Shave – We recommend exfoliating your entire body before shaving. Doing so will allow you a closer shave since the dead skin cells will be sloughed off. Your skin will feel amazing.

Minimize Breakouts – Exfoliating will minimize pimples due to the fact it removes dead skin cells that normally trap excess oil, residue, and acne-causing bacteria in the pores. When you exfoliate dead skin away, the impurities trapped in the pores are released, hence minimizing pimples from forming.

Scarring Disappears – Acne scars will diminish over time if you exfoliate your skin regularly. The top layers of skin are exfoliated so scarring and marks will lighten and be erased over time. Try a homemade sugar scrub to help your skin look clearer and brighter.

Skin Tone – Your overall skin tone will improve and become more even if you exfoliate regularly. New skin will appear that is more even in color and brighter as well.

So what are you waiting for? Clearly exfoliating is amazing for your skin and you will notice instant results. Just make sure to be gentle on your skin and don’t use an exfoliating treatment that has too large of granules that can tear up your skin. Use a sugar scrub or scrub with microbeads so it will gently remove dead skin, allowing new skin to appear.

I was wondering what your thought was about paraben free skin care products. Also, wondering if a cleanser with an exfoliator is just as good as a straight exfoliator. Found this article about both and was wondering what your thoughts were! Thanks. http://www.skincareheaven.com/blog/tag/dermaearth/

Is daily exfoliation better or worse? The articles online seem to confuse me on this topic.

well there Alyx, when they say to exfoliate once a day it is meaning that they want you to use a soft exfoliater, but once every three days with a strong one. hope this helps sweetie. good luck on you way to acne free
