Is your skin looking worn down, dull, and lifeless? It may be time to start giving your skin some tender loving care to renew and rejuvenate it. If you are stressed out, not sleeping well, not eating well, or dehydrated, just to name a few, your skin is going to suffer for it. Here are some great ways to add life and brightness back into your skin that will help you look healthy and younger quickly:

Exfoliate  Utilizing an exfoliating treatment 1-2 times a week will leave your skin looking instantly brighter and refreshed. Gently exfoliate to remove dead skin cells and unclog pores that are clogged with impurities like acne-causing bacteria, excess oil, and makeup residue if you wear makeup.

Ice, Ice Baby – Brew a batch of unsweetened green tea, pour it in ice trays, freeze it, and use a green tea ice cube on your face anytime you look tired and need a pick me up. It will brighten your skin, minimize redness or dullness in skin, and fight acne!

Drink Water – Drink lots of water daily to keep your skin looking moisturized and radiant. Water brings life to your skin while caffeinated and/or sugary drinks will dehydrate you and make you look washed out. Add lemon to your water to even out your skin tone and keep your skin less oily.

Relax – Find time every day to relax and de-stress. Doing so will allow your skin to restore itself and will get your blood circulating better so your pores can be open and breathe easier. If you can take a quick nap during the day, even better. You will look so much brighter after a nice thirty min or hour nap.

Keep Cool – Keep your skincare products, including your moisturizers and eye cream, in the refrigerator to keep them cool. Then when it’s time to apply the products to your skin, it will be such a wonderful cooling treatment for the skin that will minimize redness and irritation. It will also reduce puffiness under the eyes and will seal the pores after cleansing.

Use Under Eye Concealer – Using under eye concealer will make you look instantly refreshed and awake. Dark circles form from being over tired, sick, or can be hereditary. Regardless, putting on concealer that is just one shade lighter than your skin tone will instantly refresh your face and help you look younger. Make sure to use eye cream before applying concealer.

Face Mask – We at Acne Skin Site love homemade face masks. Use a face mask twice a week to pull impurities from the skin, remove dead skin, and revitalize the skin. It will make you look brighter and your skin will feel super smooth and clean.
