Dark under eye circles can be such a nuisance. They make you look older, tired, and sickly. Dark circles are primarily caused by age, heredity, allergies, or lack of sleep. If you smoke, abuse alcohol or drugs, or live an unhealthy lifestyle, you are not making it any easier for your dark circles to go away. If anything, you are making it worse – Much worse. If you live a healthy and active lifestyle, get plenty of rest, and drink lots of water and use eye cream, you are helping to minimize dark circles but what if you do all this and still have dark circles? This is definitely where heredity comes in to play. But thankfully, hope has been found…in molasses. Read further to learn how molasses can treat dark under eye circles.

Molasses, which is a natural sweetener that is like that of syrup consistency but a bit thicker, is used in many different delicious foods. But it can also help cure you of your dark under eye circles. Molasses contains copper which is vital for the body in terms of processing and using iron effectively in the body. If you have a lack of copper in your body, it can lead to an iron deficiency, anemia, and the breaking down of blood vessels. All of these things can cause your dark under eye circles to get even darker so it is important to add molasses to your diet.

Molasses also contains iron which is an important nutrient the body needs to maintain the regulation of healthy skin cells. You can become very sick if you don’t get enough iron including extreme exhaustion, headaches, and even becoming depressed. All of this will affect the look of your skin and your under eye dark circles. Just add a tablespoon of molasses to your daily diet and we are sure your dark circles will diminish! Consult with your doctor if you think you may have an iron deficiency so you can be on the road to good health ASAP!
