Happy New Year! We are now in 2013 and we all know how motivated we are when at the beginning of a new year. We can put unfinished goals, regrets, and mistakes behind us and learn from them on how to better our lives for the present and future. Don’t set unrealistic goals for yourself. Be realistic about your goals and you will see your life become better…mind, body, and soul. Read some tips on making realistic goals for you and your good health for 2013.
1. Start getting good sleep tonight. If you don’t get at least 8 hours of sleep a night, you are at risk for having more illnesses develop and looking worse too. Lack of sleep can make your skin look worse, since your skin restores itself while you sleep. Get your Zzzz’s.
2. Eat healthy. Increase fruits, veggies, lean proteins, and whole grains in your diet. You will feel and look better, starting with the inside of your body and it will exude out through your skin. You will look radiant and will have clearer skin.
3. Throw out junk food and you will be less tempted to eat bad food when you’re hungry. Fatty foods can increase dark under eye circles, cause you to gain unneeded weight, and worsen acne.
4. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day to prevent dehydration of your body. Dehydration can cause dry skin, dark circles under your eyes, and cause you to look sickly and tired.
5. Write down your goals! Writing your goals out and reading them aloud every day will motivate you to accomplish them.
6. Love yourself and don’t be hard on yourself. Know that you are human and will make mistakes. Show yourself grace when you don’t follow every goal perfectly…tomorrow is a new day!
7. Incorporate a good skincare routine
That you for the New You message for 2013…I’m determined, great year ahead of me 🙂
