Acne. What an ugly word. It can happen to anyone, anytime, any age. Acne does not discriminate. Though almost everyone will have acne or a breakout of pimples on their face at some time in their lives, we still all feel like we’re alone in this world, fighting acne alone. We think no one else understands us and we want to hide ourselves in our bedrooms until the acne disappears.
But remember, you are not alone in this. There are men and women, adolescent boys and girls all over this world dealing with the same struggle as you. You have to remember this is temporary, even if it lasts a few years, it will eventually get better. Guys think girls have it easier because girls can cover it up more effectively with makeup. Girls think guys have it easier because guys don’t care about their image as much and don’t have as many societal pressures when it comes to beauty as girls do. The truth is it is tough on both genders. So what can you do to deal with this annoying time in your life?
1. Focus on your best physical attributes: Your eyes, your cute little nose, your great hair, your height, your awesome legs, your muscles! Everyone has at least one great physical attribute and be proud of that! You can appreciate the nice physical qualities about yourself without being cocky.
2. Focus on what kind of person you are inside and remember that true beauty starts within and exudes out. Your heart matters more than physical beauty ever could. Because we at Acne Skin Site don’t know about you but we would rather be awesomely nice people that aren’t the best looking than to be physically beautiful but not good people!
3. Find things you enjoy doing other than obsessing over your skin. Don’t waste time hiding in your room when you can enjoy life! Read a good book, go to the movies with friends, go hiking, travel, etc! We are only guaranteed this moment in life so make it the best that you can!
4. Eat healthy, lots of fresh fruit and veggies and lean proteins. Workout at least 4 days a week….sweat out those toxins and get strong! Drink lots of water daily. Minimize fat and sugar intake. Your skin will look better by living a healthy lifestyle!
