People are always looking for natural ways to get rid of acne. If you are looking for healthy, natural ways, it may be time to change your diet and eat healthier foods that include fruits and veggies and lean proteins. Many of the vitamins found in these foods are proven to not only make you feel better, but look better as well!
Here are a few of the major vitamins that have been proven to positively help fight acne:
Vitamin A – This may be the most important vitamin to get more of. Its primary function is to assist your skin in repairing itself. It’s also an antioxidant. Those two characteristics combined make a potent acne fighting force.
B Vitamins – The various B vitamins work in unison to heal your skin. Basically, B vitamins assist in the healthy growth of hair, nails, and skin. They are also a major source of energy and assist in circulating your blood more effectively. All of these things heal the skin more rapidly and diminish scarring at a faster rate.
Vitamin K – This vitamin works on your overall complexion. Blemishes of all kinds, not just acne, may respond to an increase in Vitamin K.
While this certainly isn’t a full comprehensive list, these 3 vitamins will help your skin heal from acne damage.
I get frequent outbreaks of acne. My
mother insists me to use natural products. She also asks me to change my diet
and opt for more veggies and fruits. Now
I know the basis of her age old wisdom. I will surely try to include more of
these vitamins in my diet. I hope I can also flaunt a blemish-less skin like
hers.
Taking these vitamins in larger
quantities will not help us to deal with acne. We also need to ensure that we
get adequate rest. Stress and tension are known to cause acne outbreaks and
unless we are able to deal with stress levels we cannot get rid of acne. Along with a balanced diet we need to exercise
and follow a healthy lifestyle.
I get frequent breakouts, I eat fruits and veggies. I use Clinque products for my super sensitive skin but NOTHING works!!!. I don’t just have acne on my face ( forehead) but its also on my back and neck line… I’m considering hormone treatment like *acnetaine or oratine * but I’m sceptical about it. I never had acne in my teens but now that I’m 23 years old its killing my self esteem levels slowly everyday. What should I do?
@Omphile, I just stumbled on this website and saw your post.
I hope you are healing now but I thought I could drop a few hints on things that have helped me with my facial acne.
Externally: Go for organic skincare products. I’ve been using products from Dr. ORGANICS tea tree oil range and there has been quite an improvement on the look of my skin.
Internally: Cod liver oil and a liquid supplement called Trevo (contains an amazing combination of antioxidants).
You could also try peppermint tea and also use it as a toner right after washing your face.
I would not advise you to go on hormone treatments just yet. Your hormones will balance with time. You could try the tips above and try to minimise stress in your life.
Smile, all is well.
